NEW YORK - Farmingdale's Main Street is lined up with shops and restaurants. One of the community's favorite shop is a vintage store called, Back in Time. Its founders Laura and Joe Napolitano opened the store in 2019. The idea for the store grew from their love of collecting vintage items. They enjoyed not only collecting the unique pieces but also learning the history of the pieces. In 2020, their daughter; Jenna lost her job during covid and opened the cafe located in the back of the store. Now known as Elise’s Niece’s Cafe, the cafe offers an ever-changing menu of bakery goods.

This store contains a bar area that opened in 2022 called Cobbs Corner Bar. In 2025, another daughter Taylor opened a Schoolhouse Play and Cafe located outside behind the building. On Back in Time’s social media accounts, they keep their customers up to date with the latest events. This past weekend, Back in Time hosted an event involving five small businesses in the back of their store. Every small business that was at the event was very different from one another. Some businesses sold clothing while others sold jewelry or other random items like dog products. There was a food truck called Dominick's Italian American Deli which opened in 1995 was originally located in Lake Success Shopping Center in New Hyde Park, the company is now expanding their location to Plainview.

According to Farmingdale resident Jake, his favorite part of the Spring Fling Event was the food truck, and he couldn't wait to get the chicken tenders before he leaves. This food truck is most famous for their delicious chicken tenders and honey mustard dipping sauce. Another Long Island resident felt the event really had a sense of community. After going to this event, I would say it was a very successful turn out. If you missed the Spring Fling event, do not panic, Back in Time will be hosting a Mother's Day event called Bubbly and Bouquets.

Back in Time is not the only place on Main Street that hosts events. The Coop is hosting an event called Acoustic Bingo, Neon Light Karaoke, and DJ Party. 317 Main Street is having a Dine-In Movie event from March 31 to April 21. Participants will enjoy the movie Wicked, with a menu centered around the movie theme. With this event, the tickets will cost $60 for this event. The Tap Room is hosting a couple events for this month, every Wednesday they will be hosting a trivia night. Main Street is the place to be when you are looking for a nice night out to enjoy spending time with your friends or families. This town always has something for everyone whether the family wants a delicious meal or sweet, tasty dessert at Charlotte's Speakeasy.
