Searching for a jumpstart in your career? Interns, freshly new graduates, recruiters and anyone looking for a chance to kick start their career are an ideal candidate for this event, but anyone can come and join! The event was originally planned for Thursday, February 20. but was postponed due to winter storms that were set to hit the plains and east coast.

Visit The Long Island Career Fair taking place on Thursday, February 27. at the Marriott Melville Long Island Hotel. It is a free event you do not want to miss out on! This career fair is located at 1350 Walt Whitman Road in Melville, Long Island.

Hosted by “Choice Career Fairs” from 11am to 2pm, the Long Island Career Fair is an event where job seekers, such as students, professionals or those just looking for a change in careers, have the chance to meet with employers and recruiters. This event will not only be a place to network but also bring together a wide range of companies from various industries, all in one location. As mentioned by “Choice Career Fairs” this is a chance to:

●       Network

●       Meet face-to-face with recruiters and hiring managers

●       Explore open job opportunities and learn about what it's like to work at different companies

This career fair will showcase various employers and organizations that will explain their hiring needs, and potentially collect resumes (if you come prepared!). Job seekers will have the chance to interact with recruiters and  ask questions about job positions, company culture and application process. Additionally, this career fair serves as a valuable opportunity to venture potential employers, make personal connections and practice communication and interview skills. This is also a chance to learn about positions that may not be advertised elsewhere and gain insight into various industries. Companies take advantage of this by meeting with multiple candidates in a short period which allow them to quickly find potential fits for their organization and accelerate their hiring process so we suggest you come prepared and professional!

To make the most of this career fair, job seekers should come prepared with updated resumes, a polished elevator pitch, and a list of questions for recruiters. Once again, dressing professionally and researching companies beforehand can also help you make a strong impression. Good luck!
