Tony Danza takes the stage this October 19th accompanied by the Nassau Pops Symphony Orchestra at the Tiles Center in Greenvale. The orchestra is led by Maestro Louis Panacciulli; this is a benefit concert for Cerebral Palsy of Nassau County. The event will be starting at 3:00 pm at the concert hall, tickets will be $44 and up seats are available throughout the theatre, but the seats may fill up quickly so make sure to get your tickets. You can get tickets on Ticketmaster as well as the tiles center website tilescenter.org where you can find more information on this event.

Tony Danza is a Malverne native; this will be his second return home. He performed last year with the same orchestra for a sold-out show. In an interview by the Long Island Press he said.

“I wrote this Sinatra show for the Carlyle [in NYC]. It’s a telling of some of my experiences with him, and of course, using his music. Usually, I do it with a four-piece band, but this time, they’ve charted the whole act for a symphony. It’s going to be something really special.”

He states in the interview that coming back to Long Island makes the experience more personal. He expressed that with the venue being so local to where he grew up, even his older relatives will be there including his 98-year-old uncle. He is excited to give back to a cause that he is passionate about.

If Tony Danza does not grab your attention, Westbury Arts is having a talent show titled “Westbury's Got Talent” which will be on the same date October 19th . The theme for that night is Brighten the Fall with your Colors. At this event they hope to have live music, comedy, spoken word, monologues, script readings, and other live talent performed by local artists. On the website westburyarts.org, they state this will be a great opportunity for networking and building connections.

Tickets will be free for general admission and $5.00 if you reserve a seat and RSVP on Eventbrite. The show will start at 2:00 pm and parking will be free on weekends after 6:00 pm.

Westbury expresses that the programs are made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature under the Decentralization Program.

Westbury Arts is a nonprofit organization; they envision a community where art and culture bring a sense of belonging and pride. Westbury Arts began in 2013 where Mayor Pete Cavallaro asked residents for their assistance in creating a council for the Westbury community.
