Greek life at Farmingdale State college New York can play an important role in creating and shaping campus social environments. Giving students opportunities to make long lasting friendships and to attend community events to make their college experience more exciting. There are plenty of planned activities with events like mixers, parties, and campus gatherings. Greek life focuses a lot on the feeling that you belong and really helps you connect. 

A primary social benefit of Greek life is to have students come together to throw events. Fraternities and sororities  at Farmingdale host mixers, which allow students to come together and meet with different organizations. This helps boost relations with each organization and is a great way to meet new people. These events create an atmosphere where members can relax, get to know each other more and really enjoy their free time outside of academics. This helps with Greek life and even students who are not in an organization. The more people who attend and participate in these events the more Farmingdale State Colleges community will grow.
